ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, 1-methoxypropylacetate-2, acetone, methyl\u00a0ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene,solvent naphtha\u00ae\u00a0100 and mixtures thereof.<\/h3>\n

Aliphatic hydrocarbons are unsuitable as solvents.<\/h3>\n

Desmodur\u00ae\u00a0XP 2840 should not be thinned to below a solids content of 40 %\u00a0by weight. Prolonged storage of a solution with lower binder content may result\u00a0in turbidity and sedimentation. Storage stability of the thinned product should\u00a0be tested in each case.<\/h3>\n

Compatibility\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>\uff1a<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Desmodur\u00aeXP 2840 can be blended with most Desmodur\u00ae\u00a0grades, such as:Desmodur\u00aeN 75, N 100, N 3200, N 3300, N 3390, N 3400, N 3600, N 3900,Z 4470, HL and IL. Compatibility is generally good with hydroxyfunctional\u00a0polyesters and polyethers (Desmophen\u00aegrades) as well as hydroxy acrylates.<\/h3>\n

It is incompatible with Desmophen\u00ae\u00a0650 and 651.<\/h3>\n

As a particularly low-viscosity polyisocyanate, Desmodur\u00ae\u00a0XP 2840 is\u00a0particularly well suited for the formulation of high-solids coatings for general\u00a0industrial coating, automotive refinishing, transportation and plastics coating\u00a0applications.<\/h3>\n

\u2013 Protect from moisture, heat and foreign material.<\/h3>\n

General information : The product is sensitive to moisture. Storage at higher\u00a0temperatures will result in increase of color and viscosity.<\/h3>\n

Covestro represents that, for a period of nine months following the day\u00a0of shipment as stated in the respective transport documents, the product\u00a0will meet the specifications or values set forth in section \u201cspecifications or\u00a0characteristic data\u201d above, what ever is applicable, provided that the product is\u00a0stored in full compliance with the storage conditions set forth in and referenced\u00a0under section \u201cstorage\u201d above and is otherwise handled appropriately.<\/h3>\n

The lapse of the nine months period does not necessarily mean that the\u00a0product no longer meets specifications or the set values. However, prior to\u00a0using said product, Covestro recommends to test such a product if it still\u00a0meets the specifications or the set values. Covestro does not make any\u00a0representation regarding the product after the lapse of the nine months period\u00a0and Covestro shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the product failing\u00a0to meet specifications or the set values after the lapse of the nine months period.<\/h3>\n
